About Titan LeAP
Titan LeAP program is a youth skill development and livelihood program, supported by CSR of Titan Co. Ltd and implemented by Naandi Foundation. Since its inception in 2017, the LeAP program has impacted 29,535 youth in Tamil Nadu across various districts. While school and college education provides the theoretical knowledge required in the subject, the education system has been unable to keep up with the rapid changes in the necessary skills for gainful employment. Titan LeAP aims to bridge this gap for less privileged learners through a hybrid training model by combining conventional wisdom in skill training and the power of technology. The courses offered include life, language, and specific domain skills required for the job market while empowering youth with tools and techniques to become lifelong learners.
The 90-day Immersion Program at the center in Guindy offers introductory and intermediate levels consisting of life, language, aptitude, and business skills for 250 hours, benefiting 700 students every year. Students’ requirements are mapped through psychometric assessment, analysis, and counseling to customize their learning. In addition, all the trainees are supported with mid-day meals, travel assistance, and placement connections. The center also helps students in peri-urban locations through its Spokes Model, in which 40 hours of training is offered at the student location, coupled with another 40 hours of focused Domain Training provided for students who demonstrate the intent and need for specialization. Since its inception (2016), 8185 students have been trained across Tamil Nadu.
The Engineering Program is delivered in partnership with Anna University’s CUIC is a unique hybrid program combining 80 hours of distance learning and 66 hours of classroom training. It includes technical skills, aptitude, communicative English, soft skills, interview skills, Python and employability skills specific for engineering students. Additionally, a 36 hours employability skills program is conducted for 15 University College of Engineering across Tamil Nadu.
